 I Might Have Cried
More Than Once Yesterday!

I decided to break a toe.
We somehow “misplaced” some very expensive pooch medicine,
and I didn’t get my house cleaned, my laundry finished, all of my Bible studies completed, and it rained all weekend and quite frankly, it messed with my psyche!
There is more but you get the point.

Why am I telling you this?
Because it’s real and I promised myself in 2022 I would be completely authentic.
Because it’s true and I promised I would be completely transparent.
Because it’s life and I cannot help but be soulfully empathetic.

I. Was. A. Hot. Mess!

There are some things I cannot make up and after years of buying into, “faking until making it,”…no more.

Why?
Because someone can learn from our, where we are, in that exact moment.
Because someone needs us to help them lean.
Because someone needs to hear that they are not the only mess.

This Same Day a miraculous thing happened:

A dear friend of mine was having a time…her struggle tenfold compared to mine.
She thought she was alone.
I shared with her my mess.
She burst into laughter. (Mission Accomplished!)
The kind that comes from the bottom of your stomach and travels up through the places in your soul that only a good bout of laughter can nourish.

My words to her, “You are NOT alone. See, I’m there too, and this is too real, I cannot make this stuff up!”

And we both laughed.
We laughed.
That cleansing laugh where you feel it all fade.

My toe hurt a little less.
The pile of laundry I now think of with thankfulness.
The medicine, eek, I am still struggling a bit, due to the price tag but…

The Point is:

God knew this particular day was not all that stellar for us.
God knew we needed each other.
God was there by our side, even when we were having quite a time.

His love for us gave us the greatest gifts.
First and most importantly, His Son.
Secondly, He gave us one another.
And He also gave us the best medicine, you cannot find on a shelf:
Unity, Togetherness, Laughter and Friendship around a bowl of fried ice cream with your best friend.

That’s enough for me.
My cup runneth over this season…

Take it all in, brothers and sisters, find your cup, you will find it, too, full, if you allow Him to pour His blessings over you.

Let down your guard, let go of the facade and let the love of the Lord and the love for others fill you up and overflow!

Helping someone is a gift that God provided me and my Wife with everyday via visiting, text messages or phone calls (<Primary). I also help some single woman with repairs. I love the hugs I get when helping individuals out.
