The Ministry of Presence

The Lord extends to all those who come to faith in Him, this wonderful ministry of presence. It is within His presence that we find fullness of joy, all that is good, and it is in His presence that we not only find help in our time of need, but God becomes our refuge in our time of need as well.

But God also calls us into the ministry of presence. It is through the ministry of presence that we can bring the same comfort to others that God has given to us. All we have to be is available for God to use.

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort” … “Who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.” (2 Corinthians 1:3-4)

Therefore, to be involved in this special ministry that God has called us to be a part of we need to make ourselves available for God to use, so that we can bring His comfort and joy to those who are in need.

Dennis Lee is Senior Pastor at Living Waters Fellowship, Mesquite, Nevada. He graduated from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a master of arts in theology from Talbot School of Theology, along with a master of divinity equivalency degree from Fuller Theological Seminary.
