This May Be More for Me

Than it is for You

By Carrie Edwards

All things New

In 2023

A clean state

A new start

Seeking Again

All of Him.

The World has a way

Of finding a say

Do not let the voice within

Grow silent and dim

When you know in your heart

The words to impart

Faith.

Obedience

and Surrender.

All three

With Him at the center.

Do not get too overwhelmed

Do not be burdened

In a world that leaves

Most of us uncertain

He has the Plan

He knows the Purpose

He is with us now

We follow His service

Serve one another

More than just your few

In every word

Deed

In all that we do

Unapologetically

Unashamed

Following His cue

We are His hands

and feet 👣

His Word says

To all that we meet

It is not a New Year’s Resolution

But a way of life

To love the Lord

Both day and night

#aHeartCarriedAway♥️

preparing to embrace the day

Needing to be still

Seeking His Wisdom

His Way

And His Will.

Called.

Chosen.

Committed.

We all can stand

With the help of our fellow man

We are not alone

We are not cast out

Are you already there

Or do you need a hand

Our Jesus is our Lord

And our friend

The One on High

We cannot doubt

The cross and

Resurrection

His coming again

He conquered it all

and is but waiting on us to answer

His call

Stepping into Grace

Mercy overflows

Seeking His Face

What are we waiting for?

As we prepare to welcome 2023, this coming New Years, we wish you all Joy, Blessings, and Peace.

~ Love, Carrie and family

Words fill her head every moment of the day. Built Southern Strong, Carrie appreciates porch breezes, fire pits, dirt roads, and yes, sweet tea. She defines herself first, as a Child of God, and Christ-follower. Second to Him, she is a wife to a man that the Good Lord put in her path 21 years ago, and that she knows, loves her more today, in all of her quirkiness, than he did when they first met. Carrie and Josh, along with their three children, whom she will tell you act and look more like their dad, depending on the day, call rural Georgia home, and attend First Baptist Church, Warrenton. To find out more about Carrie you can follow her on Facebook, or on her website.
