How Can We Hold Back?

Jesus was willing to humble himself and did not see being equal with God, one of three persons of the Trinity, as something to be grasped or held onto. He emptied himself of his position and station for love. He was willing to do whatever it would take to rescue, redeem, and restore you.

How can we not give thanks on this Lord’s Day? How can we withhold our passionate and heartfelt praise? How can we not celebrate his goodness, grace, and gifts? How cannot, once again, be whelmed over by the presence of his Holy Spirit as we gather with other Saints in worship? – Jimmy

Have the same mindset as Christ Jesus who, being found in appearance as a man, humbled himself, becoming obedient to death on a cross.  Philippians 2:5-8

Jimmy Pruitt is a believer and follower of Jesus Christ. As an idealist, his words are filtered through his spirituality with the expectation that he will encourage and inspire people to “Live Up in a Down World.” He is committed to being an authentic person in all he does. Because everyone has been through something, or is currently struggling, Jimmy believes the proper response to life is humility; it is the signature of Jesus bringing forth both pain and glory. He and his way better half, Annette, have been married for30 years. Agreeing their family is amazing, placing “Fun” in dys-Fun-ctional. They have three adult children and seven grandchildren that bless their lives beyond what they could ever dream.
