THE BIBLE IS GOD’S REVEALED TRUTH TO MANKIND
When reading the Bible you will discover that there are three distinct persons who make up the Holy Trinity, One God. Without knowing this you will have an incomplete understanding of the truth and the way of salvation.
Knowing the truth is essential to having a relationship with God and being saved from the wrath to come upon all unbelievers.
You need God’s Son.
You need God’s Spirit.
Without the Son and the Spirit, you don’t have the Father either.
Your relationship is with One God, revealed in three persons.
Before creation, the Father, Son and Spirit were in agreement that the only path to salvation would be offered to sinful men by faith in the sacrifice for sin made by Jesus on the cross. THERE IS NO OTHER WAY.
After the payment for sin was made, the Holy Spirit was sent to indwell those who sincerely confess their sins and repent. The indwelling Holy Spirit is necessary to battle against our sinful human nature and to help us to pursue holiness, without which nobody will see God.
All three persons of the Trinity play a role in the salvation plan:
John 3:16 NIV
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”
John 3:17 NIV
“For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.”
John 3:18 NIV
“Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.”
1 John 5:12 NIV
“Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.”
1 John 2:23 NIV
“No one who denies the Son has the Father; whoever acknowledges the Son has the Father also.”
Galatians 4:6 NIV
“Because you are his sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, the Spirit who calls out, ‘Abba, Father.’”
John 3:5-6 NIV
“Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit. Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit.”
John 6:63 NIV
“The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you—they are full of the Spirit and life.”
Romans 8:10 NIV
“But if Christ is in you, then even though your body is subject to death because of sin, the Spirit gives life because of righteousness.”
WITHOUT READING GOD’S WORD, HOW CAN WE SAY THAT WE KNOW HIM OR THAT WE’RE SAVED?

Greg’s journey into serious Bible study began when his wife Janel, told him about a local men’s Bible Study Fellowship that met every Monday night. Once he started, he discovered daily time in God’s word was absolutely necessary to living a practical Christian life. Through diligent prayer, his personal commentary, and guidance from the Holy Spirit he encourages other Christians to read and study their Bible to learn for themselves the truth of Gods’ word. Greg and his wife Janel, are empty nesters residing in Sterling Heights, Michigan. They have two married children, Emily and Jordan, and one grandson Jack (Emily).
