Unity in the Spirit

DEAR READERS, GREETINGS IN THE PRECIOUS NAME OF JESUS CHRIST, OUR LORD AND SAVIOUR. THIS IS A REPOST FROM TWO YEARS AGO WITH SOME LIGHT EDITING. MAY GOD BLESS YOU TODAY.

There is one body and one Spirit, just as also you were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all who is over all and through all and in all.

Ephesians 4:4-6 (NASB)

The Christmas season is fast approaching, Charles Dickens books are being pulled off bookshelves by some for their annual fix of Dickensian festive cheer. Soon it will again be “the season peace and goodwill to all men.” Yet we live in a divided fractious world beset by war, economic crisis and the worst passions of selfish humanity. The church instead of being the guiding light for the world is also divided, one denomination against another. Sadly many churches are choosing to trade the Word of God for inclusive society pandering to the evil of gender manipulation.

This was not God’s plan, but He foresaw the divisiveness of fallen humanity and made provision for it. The Mighty Triune God provides a way of hope for sinful man, a narrow path from the manger of Bethlehem to the bloodied cross of Calvary, that finishes in an empty tomb and our Saviour’s glory in Heaven. The Path of Peace is open to all repentant men, regardless of background. Our various ways of worshipping God Biblically achieve the same result, bringing our sacrifice of a repentant heart to the Almighty.

Dear reader, as we approach Christmas let our light shine a message of Godly unity in this fractious sin-sick world. His message of divine hope is for all in our lost world. Prepare yourselves for the journey ahead to the manger at Bethlehem, where God will meet us on the Path of Peace.
