“World at War”

They said the World War I was the war to end all wars, but then came World War II, and after that there have been regional wars, social wars, and war for the hearts and minds of the human race.

But what is the reason for these wars?

While these war wage around the world, and in our own back yards, the reasons vary. We say it’s because of economics or greed, or it’s because of religion and its interpretation of God. And there are many others like, oil, land, food, or various offenses others perpetrate.

But all these miss the mark.

The real reason we have all these wars in our world, country, government, and homes is because our world is at war with God. And it’s a war that the world will lose, as we see throughout the Bible, especially in the Book of Revelation.

“Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war. His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns. He had a name written that no one knew except Himself. He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God. And the armies in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses. Now out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it He should strike the nations. And He Himself will rule them with a rod of iron. He Himself treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. And He has on His robe and on His thigh a name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.” (Revelation 19:11-16)

Let’s stop being at war with God, and stop being on the losing side, and come to Jesus, the Word of God and the King of Kings, and Lord of Lords.

Very well stated. We rather need to be waring against the enemy of our souls, Satan by putting on the full armor of God (Ephesians 6) and surrendering to God, not fighting against Him. That’s the only way we will see victory and peace in our lives and impact those around us. We daily need to put God’s will above ours.
