How many of us deal with heartbreaking regret
How many of us deal with heartbreaking regret over things from the past, decisions, and situations we can’t change?
Regret relentlessly taunts us, telling us that if we had done this or hadn’t done that, we would have had a different, better outcome. But regret is not our friend. It lies to us, telling us what we should have done differently but giving us no hope or possibility of changing or correcting what happened in the past. Instead of comforting, it is destructive.
Did you know that our brain is not even capable of processing , woulda , shoulda or couda?? So we literally torture ourselves with guilt and shame for no reason. We cannot change the past. We can only learn from it and do our best in the present and future.

Yes, Dr. Cupps, I have had regrets in the last about things that I have regrettably said or done. But I have also learned from those incidents. Sometimes I find the need to bring them to God in Prayer and or by going to a priest at my PRIEST at my parish to seek the grace of the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
