Prayer For The Nations

There are currently 195 nations throughout the world. Many of these nations have at least some presences of Christians in their nations, though very few have Christianity as the majority of the nation. A large number of nations are anti-Christian and all need to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior.

Prayer for missionaries has been something God has had me do for many years. He is now laying it upon my heart to pray specifically for the nations of the world. I would like to include you and encourage you to also pray for the nations. Each Monday afternoon I will highlight one nation with some statistics and prayers concerning that nation. The choice for which nation I choose, and the information used will come from Operation World.

As you read these posts, I encourage you to pray for those nations and the believers and missionaries in those nations. Pray also how God may use you to reach the lost in those nations, whether by supporting others going there, or by sending you yourself to one of those nations.

Editor’s Note:  To join Tom in his prayers for the countries of the world go to Insights From Tom each Monday and see what country he’s praying for.

Tom Arn has ministered in many facets of the church, from children’s pastor, senior pastor, and currently as a Sunday School Teacher. He has General Ministries Degree. He began with short devotional Bible studies on his blog, Insights From Tom in 2014. He travels through each book of the Bible, chapter-by-chapter and section-by-section, writing what God places on his heart at the time.

Tom is happily married for 31 years to his wonderful wife Cammie. Together they share with everyone how God has blessed them with eight children and one precious grandchild. He desires that God may richly bless you, and make you more like Jesus everyday, drawing you closer to Him.
