Those who are victorious will inherit all this, and I will be their God and they will be my children. Revelation 21:7

Parents always want to be able to leave a good inheritance for the children, and even sometimes for their grandchildren. They invest a lot of money in a fund in order to have it for their children. Homes and land will be purchased and paid off to be able to pass it on. Businesses will be built up to be handed over to their child in the future.

Some children will know about the inheritance that they will receive prior to getting it. They will look forward to it, though they do not desire to lose their parents in the process. To get the inheritance, the parent must pass away.

Another type of inheritance that many will receive has nothing to do with material things. They are the inheritance of a great upbringing, correct morals, a good name, great training, and more. These are things that people realize after they have grown up and look back on life.

There is another inheritance that believers can look forward to. However, the only way to receive it is for the believer to be victorious. To be victorious, he must turn away from all sin and follow after God. He must be willing to love God with all of his heart, soul, mind and strength and to love all other people also. He must be willing to do what God tells him to do each and every time.

This inheritance is eternal life, no more pain, no more suffering, no more death, no more sin, no more hunger. All of these things are much better than any human parent can ever provide. The things human parents can provide for an inheritance are usually physical and only last a short time. The inheritance God provides is eternal.

Jesus has provided the way for you to receive this great inheritance. He died on the cross and arose again to take away your sins and provide you with eternal life.

If you have accepted what Jesus has done for you and you follow Him, you have become a child of God. As a child of God you will inherit all that He has. Be victorious and you will receive eternal life with no pain, suffering, hunger or thirst. You will be His child for all eternity–the great inheritance possible!

I pray today that you will know what Jesus has done for you; that you will know Jesus as your Savior; that you will know the inheritance God has in store for you; and that God will help you be victorious in turning from all sin.
