Good Friday

DAILY VERSE

But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.

(Isaiah 53:5)

DEVOTION

Today is Good Friday! Christ endured being treated like a common criminal, the worst of the worst, so that we could have this promise. The full meaning of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ; the forgiveness of sin and the promise of eternal life. The resurrection is the evidence that life does not stop after our physical death, the cornerstone of the Christian faith. This is God’s new covenant with mankind, a pathway to righteousness in the presence of God almighty. Happy Easter to All!

For it is better, if it is God’s will, to suffer for doing good than for doing evil. For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive in the Spirit. (1 Peter 3:17,18)

The cardinal ethic of Christianity is Sacrifice, not Success.

    Your Friend- His Servant,
