Philippians 2:5-8 “Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.”
As such Jesus said:
Matthew 16:25 “Whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.”
The purpose being:
John 20:31 “That believing you may have life in His name.”
The reward being:
John 14:2-3 “In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.”
The warning being:
James 2:14 “What use is it, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but he has no works? Can that faith save him?”
Therefore:
Romans 8:1 “There is now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.”
