Who Can We Trust in Days Such as These?
In days such as these, who can we trust? Can we trust all of our leaders, politicians, the news media, doctors, scientists, teachers, counselors? We should be able to, but people are not perfect. We only know so much.
God has all knowledge. We don’t. We can trust the Lord.
Scientists have studied and found that the person who has the most of all knowledge in the world only has about 2%. If we took a test in school and only got a grade of 2%, then we need a tutor which would be good and helpful.
Science taught and people thought up until Christopher Columbus sailed the ocean in 1492 that the earth was flat. We learned then that the earth was not flat. If more people knew God’s Word in the Bible better, then the theory that the earth was flat would have been dismissed much earlier. The fact is that over two thousand years before Columbus’s voyage, God’s Word said, “Have you not known? Have you not heard? Has it not been told you from the beginning? Have you not understood from the foundations of the earth? It is He who sits above the circle of the earth…” (Isaiah 40:21-22a)
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths. Do not be wise in your own eyes…” Proverbs 3:5-7a.
“You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You. Trust in the Lord forever, For in YAH, the Lord, is everlasting strength. Isaiah 26:3-4
“He will not be afraid of evil tidings; His heart is steadfast, trusting in the Lord. His heart is established; He will not be afraid…” Psalm 112:7-8a
“Those who know Your name trust in You, for You, LORD, have never forsaken those who seek You.” Psalm 9:10
“But blessed is the one who trusts in the LORD, whose confidence is in Him. They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.” Jeremiah 17:7-8
God loves you.
