Being Prepared for Battle

 DAILY VERSE

The Lord who rescued me from the paw of the lion and the paw of the bear will rescue me from the hand of this Philistine.”Saul said to David, “Go, and the Lord be with you.”

DEVOTION

David was the youngest and least experienced of his brothers when he was chosen to be king. Hand-picked by God, he had to go from being a shepherd to facing a giant clothed in armor in the blink of an eye.

Circumstances, especially difficult ones, tend to come out of nowhere and require us to prepare in a moments notice, to conquer whatever giant has been placed before us.

Spend time in the Word of God, so you are ready when God calls you into action.

 Bradley Hilton has always been a believer; it was in 2000 that he reaffirmed his faith and went all-in for Jesus. He felt a nudge from God to start a men’s group in his church. Influenced by this group he began a regeneration process that changed his life for a more active service for God. He began a newsletter to encourage others. Its growth resulted in a blog, The Daily Dose – Daily inspiration from God’s Word. Bradley and his wife, Michelle, share life together in Texas with their four children and two grandsons.
