Reality Check
Loss or gain?
“Don’t store up treasures here on earth, where moths eat them and rust destroys them, and where thieves break in and steal. Store your treasures in heaven, where moths and rust cannot destroy, and thieves do not break in and steal. Wherever your treasure is, there the desires of your heart will also be.” —Matthew 6:19–21
If you only store up treasures on earth, you will spend your life backing away from them.
For these, death is loss.
But if you store up treasures in heaven, you will look forward to eternity because you are moving toward your treasure.
For these, death is gain.
So here is the reality check: Are you backing away from your treasure, or moving toward it?
