There Something Special About Grandpa’s

Mark sharing with his uncle Papa Moose afer reading our article:

“This one (article) reminded me that there’s something about grandpa’s that is completely unique, compared with other people. They are always sillier and goofier than our much more serious parents. They are also wiser. They know it, and their grandkids know it — Intuitively. In some ways a grandpa reminds me more of God the Father than a dad does. There’s an assurance that grandpas have . . . with all they’ve seen and been through in this world. They convey the impression that everything’s gonna be all right in the end. And maybe part of that is because they are nearer the to the end than when they began the race, aren’t they? And they’ve (hopefully) made peace with their own mistakes and learned that those mistakes were more INstructive than DEstructive . . . though it may not have always seemed that way. Grandpas are rocks that give us a glimpse of God’s unconditional love and assurance that love will always be there.

Good Stuff!”

Mark Cayman Moorhead is the nephew of Papa “Moose” Moorhead, one of our Christian Grandfather writers. After reading one of our articles he shared this beautiful sentiment with his uncle. Mark is a Christian husband, and father to five children. Mark is also a department head and vice principal in an Ohio high school.
