Where Did I Come From? Why Am I Here? Sanctity of Life
Where did I come from? We were all created in the image of God. God created us to be with us because He loves us.
“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you,” (Jeremiah 1:5a)
“Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD, the fruit of the womb a reward.” (Psalm 127:3)
“For You formed my inward parts; You knitted me together in my mother’s womb. I praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are Your works; my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from You, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in Your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them.” (Psalm 139:13-16)
“Thus says the LORD Who made you, Who formed you from the womb and will help you.” (Isaiah 44:2)
Why am I here? God’s loves you. He wants to be in a relationship with you. He wants you to know your life has great purpose.
“But for this purpose I have raised you up, to show you My power, so that My name may be proclaimed in all the earth.” (Exodus 9:16)
“And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.” (Romans 8:28)
“But rise and stand upon your feet, for I have appeared to you for this purpose, to appoint you as a servant and witness to the things in which you have seen Me and to those in which I will appear to you,” (Acts 26:16)
“And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’” (Mark 12:30-31)
“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another.” (John 13:34)
“So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in Him.” (1 John 4:16)
“Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” (Isaiah 41:10)
“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.” (Jeremiah 29:11)
“I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.” (John 10:10)
“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:19-20)
