Your attitude determines your ALTITUDE
Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus,
Philippians 2:5 ESV
John Maxwell writes, “Your attitude determines your ALTITUDE.” In today’s verse, the Apostle Paul urges us to adopt the humble attitude of Christ in our daily walk. The next verses state, “Who being in the form of God humbled Himself, became a man, and even died for others on the cross to obtain THEIR, not His, salvation” depicts the essence of Paul’s thought. Christ came to serve, not be served. Likewise, the word “pastor” does not mean “top dog” but rather “shepherd” – a shepherd assigned to care for sheep. “Serving Him in serving others” is one way to describe today’s ministry. Andrew Murray adds, “Just as water seeks to fill the lowest places, so God fills you with His glory and power when He finds you empty and abased.”

Hebrews 12:1-2A
Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
