I wonder how God would see Our marriage

Our Capitol Commission annual gathering is in Nashville, Tennessee. I greatly enjoy working with the Capitol Commission as we endeavor to bring gospel hope and spiritual strength to government leaders through the ministry of prayer, presence and proclamation. Our goal is to eventually have a minister serving in every state capitol. I am thankful for these leaders who serve faithfully across the country.

I was reading Ezekiel. Remember the book from which we get the old spiritual “dem bones, dem bones, dem dry bones”. The nation was pictured as a valley full of dead and dry bones. Life was missing. The hope was that God could revive by bringing those bones back to life. Ezekiel’s eyes must have bulged when he saw the remarkable sight. God can replace stony and hard hearts with a new heart. God says, “I will put my Spirit within you so you will live.”

I wonder how God would see our nation today? Our marriage? Our church? Our family? He is still the master at taking dry things and restoring, renewing, and bringing life. Will we let God be God in our lives?

Comments by Andy Oldham, Creator of Christian Grandfather Magazine:

I don’t think God would like our nation today. But we/it can change “if we repent and turn from our wicked ways…”
