How are we to truly seek God from the heart?

Colossians 3:1-2:

“If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth.”

Galatians 5:16-17:

“Walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever you want.”

The reason why:

Galatians 5:24:

“Those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.”

What’s more?

Revelation 3:20:

“Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.”

Therefore:

Matthew 6:33:

“Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness.”

Psalm 37:4:

“Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart.”

1 Peter 5:8:

“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.”

Do I seek the things of this world, or is my heart rather focused on the Word of Christ, so I follow Him to the glory of God?

What André Gourd started out as a daily message to his sons in 2019, has grown into daily messages to all who wish to receive them. While he didn’t have a clue he was to share these messages with the world, the Lord put on his heart in 2020 to do so. The purpose of his daily messages is to remind those of us who know Christ as Savior and Lord, that He is present in this world and in our lives. André desires to keep each one “Short and To The Point,” so you will take time to read them. They are NOT related to opinion. They simply “Point to Scripture.” He leaves us with a one sentence “Challenge thought” to help us live out our commitment to focus on Christ and live by His word. If you desire to read more of his scripture challenges you will find him at Christ At The Helm

Correct Servant of God, Patience is faith. Having Peace does not mean we do n’t have any problem. It is having assurance in Jesus Christ as our only Savior.
