Walking By Faith
For we walk by faith, not by sight
2 CORINTHIANS 5:7 (NASB)
Things of this world are not always what they seem to be. An example is the beautiful flat sands when the tide is out in some UK estuaries; unsuspecting visitors venture out following the tide and soon find themselves in trouble. They end up in a frantic race against a returning tide or worse get stuck in the mud, either way they require rescuing by the RNLI.
Sometimes the circumstances of our lives don’t make sense to us; we can’t see the purpose or direction that we are heading in. There appears to be no reason, but there always is a reason in the life of a believer in God. Just as we take directions from a native of an unfamiliar town, we must take directions from God in our life; He knows the way ahead and the end that awaits us.
Dear reader, are you walking by faith in His directions today? The way ahead may look uninviting or even deceptively inviting leading to disaster, you are uncertain which direction is best. Rather than trusting frail human knowledge brethren, walk by faith in Him who is the Almighty Creator – He knows “The Way.”
