“Tapped by God”

(Today is International Day of Older Persons)

The richest spot on earth is neither South Africa’s diamond mines, the oil fields of Saudi Arabia, nor Silicon Valley and it’s microchips. The richest land is found in the local cemeteries because that’s where there are so many unfulfilled promises and untapped dreams.

If we could harness all the unused power of these unfulfilled and untapped dreams, then the world would be a far different and better place.

Can you imagine what the church would look like if we all lived up to our fullest potential?

Consider Martin Luther King, or Mother Teresa. Their legacies, their dreams continue with us today.

Just as God placed that dream in them, He has placed a dream within us. God has destined us for greatness. God created us with a divine design in mind.

“‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’” (Jeremiah 29:11)

As we stand on that promise that God will fulfill His dreams that He placed within us, we can also be reassured that it is God who works in us to bring those dreams into fruition. “for it is God who is at work in you, both to desire and to work for His good pleasure.” (Philippians 2:13) As we continue to trust in God and move forward, we can be rest assured that “being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ;” (Philippians 1:6) God is always faithful.
