Satan’s Assimilation Plans”

Today, like never before we are seeing a societal push for Christians to assimilate into present culture. Christians are being asked to accept the will of the people over the will of God. And the argument is that we should live in harmony and have peace.

But this is just Satan’s attempt to get believers in Jesus Christ to assimilate with the world, and in the process divest themselves from God and His word.

Rabshakeh, spokesperson for Sennacherib, the King of Assyria, said to the Israelites, “Make peace with me by a present and come out to me; and every one of you eat from his own vine and every one from his own fig tree, and every one of you drink the waters of his own cistern; until I come and take you away to a land like your own land, a land of grain and new wine, a land of bread and vineyards.” (Isaiah 26:16-17)

Sennacherib had laid siege to Jerusalem. His offer of peace was assimilation. His plan was to relocate the Jews to the lands and cultures of those the Assyrians had defeated. The aim was to take away their individuality and culture and make them into Assyrians, thus growing the empire while preventing any national or religious uprising.

This is how Satan works. He lays siege to our lives promising us good things in return if we would just come to his way of thinking, and no longer trust in God for His deliverance and salvation.

He wants us to assimilate into the worldly system taking away our faith and beliefs.

But God has warned us not be conformed to this world, but rather to be transformed, and while we are to be in this world, we’re not to love it or be a part of it.

Let’s renounce Satan’s assimilation plans to be conformed to this world and allow the Lord to continue to transform us into the image of His Son, Jesus Christ.

Finally, my brethan be strong in the Lord and in the power of His Might. Ephesians 6:10

“And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” (Romans 12:2) The only way to be transformed into the image of Christ is a daily intake (reading, studying and application) of God’s word. The more we allow God’s word to transform us from the inside out, the less likely we are to be deceived by those false promises that Satan and the world have to offer, and the less likely we are to succumb to their will and thinking.
