Easter – Have You Fully Grasped It?

“For family devotions, Martin Luther once read the account of Abraham offering Isaac on the altar in Genesis 22. His wife, Katie, said, ‘I do not believe it. God would not have treated his son like that!’ ‘But, Katie,’ Luther replied, ‘He did.’”[1] This Easter, take the time to search your heart and realize the power of love involved in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ!  During this Easter season, if you don’t feel God moving in your life, perhaps it’s time for “you” to move and show your love for Him. He desires you to move closer to Him. The reason for Easter is so that you can. When you do, He will move closer to you. Abraham understood that closeness. He lived that closeness. Do you?

“Look,” said J.I. Packer, “This is the biggest thing that ever was! And we as Christians, most of us, still haven’t learned to appreciate its size. We have been Christians for years, and still haven’t fully grasped it…” [2] Christ shed His blood so that we might have life! Whether you believe it or not, He did!

I don’t know about you, but I want to grab a hold of understanding the “full grace” of God in my life and live the abundant life He has promised. We should carry this as the utmost in our life — because it is! How about it? Will you join me this Easter in searching your heart in a way that lets you grow to fully comprehend and appreciate what Christ has done? Imagine the impact we can have in sharing the full gospel of grace, if we ourselves are about letting others know!

There is no greater love!
