Is There Not a Cause?
David’s oldest brother, Eliab, was serving under King Saul in the Israeli army. Goliath stood taunting and calling them out for forty days. David arrived to bring supplies to his brothers and heard Goliath defying the army of Israel. He was incensed and spoke up.
Eliab, in true big brother fashion, chastised his younger brother. Something rose up within David, and he could not hold back his anger at this uncouth Philistine. He said to his brother and the other soldiers, “Is there not a cause?” There it is: purpose, mission, place.
You have a choice to make:
Will I spend my life on something greater and grander than myself, or will I comply, conform, and capitulate to the spirit of the age, aka the systems of this world? Choose wisely whom you will serve. Is there not a cause?

David was the right person to be there, I. The right place, at the right time. And God had a purpose in mind for him to be there, to save his people from Goliath and the others, just as He had a purpose centuries later in sending David’,s descendant (HIS own SON JESUS) to save ALL HUMANITY.
