Why does God allow trials in our life?

Why does God allow trials in our life as we follow Christ our Lord?

2 Corinthians 4:17-18:

“For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.”

2 Corinthians 1:4:

“That we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.”

What’s more?

2 Corinthians 12:9

“He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.”

Romans 8:37-39:

“In all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

As such:

2 Timothy 1:7:

“God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”

Therefore:

James 1:12:

“Blessed is a man who perseveres under trial; for once he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.”

What André Gourd started out as a daily message to his sons in 2019, has grown into daily messages to all who wish to receive them. While he didn’t have a clue he was to share these messages with the world, the Lord put on his heart in 2020 to do so. The purpose of his daily messages is to remind those of us who know Christ as Savior and Lord, that He is present in this world and in our lives. André desires to keep each one “Short and To The Point,” so you will take time to read them. They are NOT related to opinion. They simply “Point to Scripture.” He leaves us with a one sentence “Challenge thought” to help us live out our commitment to focus on Christ and live by His word. If you desire to read more of his scripture challenges you will find him at Christ At The Helm

Salvation is not a given. It is not something we deserve, but a pure gift from God. What I believe is in the importance not only of believing, but Living what we believe in our everyday life.

It is one thing to say, preach and tell what we believe. But what we believe is shown more by how we LIVE OUT what we believe in our everyday life.
