A Scripture and a Prayer: “Prayers of Faith”

“And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.” (James 5:15)

Prayer:

Lord, what I have come to know is that it all boils down to whether I believe in You and in Your promises. Jesus, You said that if I just had the faith of a mustard seed, then I could move these mountains that have risen in my life. Even the smallest of faith can see miracles done. Even the father of the demon possessed son knew this to be true, when You said to Him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.” And he cried out in tears, “Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!” Therefore, Lord, help me to put away the doubt that creeps into my thinking and faith in You. AMEN

Isaac, I pray that the Lord touches and delivers you from all that the enemy would throw in your direction today. Our God is a faithful God who hears the prayers of His people. Take care and God bless

I always love that scripture mentioned here in Mark 23:24. I find it interesting, even in my own life, that sometimes it is easier to believe God for healing and deliverance of others of whatever mountains we face than it is to believe for our own lives. Sometimes I can relate to that father who cried out, “Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!” It is in those moments that we need to remember that God is ALWAYS faithful in EVERYONE’S life. We just need to have that continuous faith without wavering. As James also says in James 1:6, “But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind.” When our eyes are on our circumstances, doubt will set in. However, when our eyes are on Jesus, we will have the faith we need from Him to overcome. (see the account in Matthew 14:22-33) When Peter’s eyes were on Jesus, he was stable walking on the sea. When his eyes were on the waves, he began to sink until he cried out to Jesus.

I think we all have those doubts, but in everything and in the midst of the doubts we should always cry out, “Lord, help my unbelief.”

Thanks Debbie, and may the Lord bless.
