Our Time Is Coming

Have you ever tried to write down your feelings when you are angry or hurt?

I know that many of us have lived the better part of our lives. We have raised our children, have grandchildren, and retirement has become our daily routine.

So what is this old man getting at? I am not particularly fond of writing about death. I have recently lost three of my very dear friends. Death describes the condition the world views them as they are now.

I know that our time is coming… We watched as friends and loved ones have been called home, home at last.

Each time another is plucked from our mist, emotions flood in and there is another void an emptiness crushing our hearts. Sadness fills our hearts for the families, and our hearts.

Why? Our sadness is because we have lost someone dear to us. We have lost a friend or family member. We have lost Christian brothers or sisters who have left their mark here for all to see.

This is our pain…. The pain that we will miss our friend or family member not being with us here to touch and laugh with. A friend or family member to sit quietly with and even share in your tears,

These are pains we must all endure, and these pains belong to us here and now. These feelings are natural, and these are feelings we must process individually. We each need time to grieve, a time to process the pain.

Our time is coming…. And we need to remember that there is joy, hope,

and a promise of life eternal in the loving arms of Jesus Christ. Those who we love have gone before us are home at last.

Home in Abba’s loving arms if they loved and accepted Jesus Christ as their lord and Savior. Jesus best describes this in 1 Corinthians 15:55 “Oh death, where is thy sting? Oh grave, where is thy victory?”

This Bible verse is expressing triumph over death through Jesus Christ. The sting of death is sin. The Apostle Paul explains that thanks to God deaths power is nullified “Victory” rather than a permanent end.

This life is nothing more than a blink of an eye in eternity. Each of us has been given a book of instruction for finding our way home. We have been given a compass whose arrow always points to Jesus.

Rather than focusing on the pain of our loss, we need to focus on the celebration of where our loved ones and friends have gone.

Who? Yes, who in their right mind would want to see those we love to suffer from illness, losing their minds, or the absolute filth and corruption of this world? No more bills, no more pain and suffering, NO MORE POLITICES! This world we know, filled with hate and absolute perversion, is a growing cesspool.

This world and its sin is where our children and grandchildren are constantly bombarded with a poison where society thinks evil is good and good evil. Sodom and Gomorrah are prime examples of the culture we have allowed to grow feeding our children poison.

Our time is coming, …. and God’s Holy Word points the way.

John 14:6 “Jesus answered, I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

John 14:3 Jesus said “And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you with me that you also may be where I am.”

OUR TIME IS COMING……

1 John 4:18 states, “There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear, because fear has to do with punishment, The one who fears is not made in perfect love.”  While this verse only highlights the power of perfect love to eliminate fear, other passages, like 1 John 4:16 explain that “by this love perfected with us” as we dwell in God’s love, fostering confidence and likeness to Christ.

Yes, I am sometimes angry at the loss of a friend or a loved one…. I must remind myself that “Our Time is Coming,” and there will be no more. Victory belongs to us because of God’s only Son.

Let your pain be comforted in God’s loving arms. Put on the FULL ARMOR of GOD and continue the fight…. We are one in the body of Christ Jesus covered in His blood.

Mourn but for a short while then celebrate with joy where your loved ones and friends have gone before us…. Our Time is Coming.

God Bless you

Most people call William Moorhead, “Papa Moose”. He brags that he is  married to an angel with her wings clipped. He and Marilyn have been married for nine years. Writing is something he never thought that he’d be called to do. However, God pricked his heart five years ago and he can’t put his pen down. He never knows what the subject will be or when God will stir his heart to write. It is Papa’s hope and prayer that his short stories will touch the hearts and minds of those who read them.

Amen! And spot on! In Christ Jesus alone lies our hope, and joy, knowing that we are destined to be with Him forever! He is our peace and comfort.
