Salvation: Born Again

There is a very large number of undiscerning people in the church who think they’re saved but they’re not because they have accepted the damning lies of false teaching, desperate to hold onto their sin. (Brian Monzon’s LinkedIn Post Comments)

Scripture makes it clear that salvation is granted only to those who repent, acknowledge Jesus as Lord and are willing to submit their life to Him. The invitation to salvation is command to repent, followed by a call to obedience, and call to submission. (Brian Monzon’s LinkedIn Post Comments)

If you were to ask people if they are going to Heaven or Hell, you’ll likely hear them say, “I hope I’ll go to Heaven.” (Robert Bagne’s LinkedIn Post Comments)

Heaven or Hell? It’s your decision, hope has nothing to do with It.  The only way to Heaven is through Jesus Christ. Will you trust Him today?

You must be “born again” to able to enter the Kingdom of God.

“Born again” refers to a Christian concept of spiritual rebirth, a fundamental transformation of one’s inner being and relationship with God, often described as a new life in Christ that includes a new identity as a child of God and a changed heart with new desires. This transformation is believed to be the work of the Holy Spirit and is initiated by repentance from sin and faith in Jesus Christ’s sacrifice on the cross.

  • It’s a second birth, separate from a physical birth, where the human spirit is regenerated by God.
  • A born-again person experiences a new identity, a new heart, and new desires, moving from being hostile toward God to loving and serving Him.
  • Becoming part of God’s family, adopted as His children.
  • God’s Spirit comes to live inside the person, providing strength, guidance, and power to overcome sin.
  • The process begins with confessing sins, asking for forgiveness, and turning away from sinful behavior asking for repentance and having faith.
  • It involves placing one’s trust in Jesus Christ as a personal Savior, believing that His death on the cross paid for sins.
  • A born-again individual begins to think and live differently, prioritizing God’s will and seeking to live a life pleasing to Him.

John 3:3-7 NIV: Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.” “How can someone be born when they are old?” Nicodemus asked. “Surely they cannot enter a second time into their mother’s womb to be born!” Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit. Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. You should not be surprised at my saying, ‘You must be born again.’

John 3:3: Jesus replied, Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.

2 Corinthians 5:17: “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!”.

“Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You are the Son of God, that You died for my sins, and that You rose from the dead. I now invite You into my heart and life to be my Lord and Savior. Please change me and help me to follow You from this day forward. In Jesus’ name, Amen”.

Thank you very much for taking us back to the most important thing we should know and understand in Christianity. People talk too much with different intentions about the word of God , forgetting the key fact that :”no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again”. Longtime ago, when I was in my Twenties , I felt that my father could not appreciate anything good I was doing to him. He could just say ; ” Isaac, You now need to believe in Jesus Christ”.

Later, as I had now believed in Christ, I realized that Good deeds alone can not take someone to the kingdom of God, unless they believe in Christ. I realized that even sinners also do good, and so, Christ just needs our heart, not strength. To make the long story short, I later realized that my father was smarter than me, as he was pointing to me the way and the gate to the Kingdom of God.

    Your friend -His servant,
    Isaac Otieno
