Finding Help in the Lord

A Prayer Inspired by Psalm 121

Dearest Father,

As I lift my eyes to the sky, I feel Your comforting presence surround me.

“Where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth” (Psalm 121:1–2).

In this moment, I’m turning to You, my ever-loving help in times of need.
Oh, how I feel Your embrace, like a parent watching over their child.

“He will not let your foot slip-he who watches over you will not slumber; indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep” (Psalm 121:3–4).

Thank You for never leaving my side, for always being there, even when I least expect it.

In Your arms, I find shelter and peace.

“The Lord watches over you-the Lord is your shade at your right hand; the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night” (Psalm 121:5–6).

Your presence shields me from life’s storms, providing me comfort and strength.

Father, You are my everything, my guardian and my guide.

“The Lord will keep you from all harm-he will watch over your life; the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore” (Psalm 121:7–8).

Help me to trust in Your unfailing love, to rest in Your unchanging care, knowing that You are with me every step of the way.

Thank You, my loving Father, for Your endless love and faithfulness. May I find peace in Your presence, strength in Your promises, and courage in Your embrace.

In Your tender embrace, I pray. Amen.
