Today, Tomorrow, and Yesterday

I thank my God for He forgives,
forgets and throws away
all the sins that I’ve committed
today, tomorrow, and yesterday.

I never plan to carry out,
the offenses that I cause today
but He forgives me nevertheless
when to Him I bow and pray.

Tomorrow comes before I know,
a new song my heart does sing
but then before I can resonate
a new indulgence it doeth bring.

Behind His back He tosses out,
discretions of my sinful past
looks no more at my yesterdays
to Him they do not remain or last.

Thank you Lord, for acquitting me,
from the iniquities of my daily strife
for I am trying each and every day
to make You, the Lord of my life!
